Has your child been offered phototherapy as treatment for eczema?

You could help research by taking part in this important survey on phototherapy and your experiences with it. Even if you were offered the treatment but decided against it, you can still share your views on why you reached that conclusion.

The research is being carried out by a doctor at Kings College London and is a simple survey that should take you only a few minutes to complete.

Researcher Dr Soudeh Mashayekhi said: “Had Phototherapy for eczema? Offered phototherapy for eczema but decided against it? We need your help!

“We are conducting research to improve phototherapy for adults and children. We are keen to speak to parents and older children who have some experience with phototherapy to let us know their experiences with this treatment, in particular if they have had home phototherapy.

“Our research is looking to compare home and outpatient phototherapy in terms of effectiveness, cost and safety. By understanding the positive and negative aspects of this treatment for patients we can design research to improve patient care.”
